An act of Spiritual Communion for those unable to attend the Mass.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
Father of glory, holy and eternal, look upon us now in power and mercy.
May your strength overcome our weakness, your radiance transform our blindness, and your Spirit draw us to
that love shown and offered to us by your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

An Act of Penitence
Call to mind your own sins and then say:
I confess to almighty God, that I have greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault; therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the Angels and Saints, to pray for me to the Lord our God.
Scripture Reading
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me. This is the bread which came down from heaven, not such as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live for ever.”
Intercession
Pray For:
Your brothers and sister around the world, for your priest and for our parish of St Mary’s Church, Hay on Wye.
For your local community and all health workers and hospital workers, for those who are sick, for those who are self isolating, for those who work to keep vital supplies available for us all.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
Act of Reception
In union, O Lord, with the faithful at every altar of your Church around the world, where your blessed Body and Blood are being offered to the Father, I desire to offer you praise and thanksgiving. I believe that you are truly present in the Holy Sacrament. Since I cannot receive you sacramentally, I ask you to come spiritually into my heart. I unite myself to you, and embrace you with all affections of my soul. Let me never be separated from you. Let me live and die in your love. Amen
Come Lord Jesus, dwell in me, your servant, fill me with your life and grace, renew me in your love and service. May your grace and life keep me in eternal life.
Blessed hallowed and praise be Jesus Christ on his throne of glory in heaven and in the most holy sacrament of the Altar. Amen
Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from the side of Christ, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds hide me
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee
From the malignant enemy defend me
In the hour of my death call me
And bid me come unto Thee
That with Thy Saints I may praise Thee
Forever and ever.
Amen.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit remain with me and with all for whom I have prayed this day.
May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen
May Our Lady of Capel-y-Ffin, pray for us.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, Most Holy and glorious Trinity. Amen.
I love the sentiments expressed in Psalm 27, they have always been a great strength and comfort to me.
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.
One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.
For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent, he will set me high upon a rock.
And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies round about me;
and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord.
Take care of yourself and those around you, remember each other in your prayers until we can all come together again to give thanks to God for his mercy and grace.
For now, may God bless you all and keep you safe
